Added folk magic article and some new illustrations. This is my attempt to flesh out folk traditions and common magic for MRQ.

Nearly a year and I've done virtually nothing for the site. Now a complete revamp, new graphics and layout to fit in with my new passion for the Imperial Age. The graphic font is a mixture of an old, old English Roman font with the first letter of each word replaced with a celtic font representing the mixture of "civilised" empire and Orlanthi "barbarism". I've added faux scroll features and embossed leather for the same reasons.

Why do I like the EWF? Because to me it reminds me of the transition of Viking Iceland to a christian state, and also of the passion and crisis of the Protestant Reformation. The Draconic Empire reminds me of the Romano-Byzantines and I like them as well.

I have also changed the emphasis from the Foxheader clan in the 3rd Age to a Draco-Orlanthi town in the 2nd Age. I'm pretty much starting again with this site in the same way that I am starting again with the new edition of Runequest.

I have looked at the engineering of the site and made it simpler. Even though I built the last site I found that I couldn't find what I was looking for, on occasion. I also removed the glossary - it was a little ambitious and tedious for a man with little time.

I’ve been planning, writing, scripting and illustrating for this site for nearly a year. Sadly due to the meltdown of my last PC (backup folks) and the disappearance of my geocities account all my scripting, writing and designing was lost. However, my illustrations are done the old fashioned way using paint on board so at least they survived.

Glorantha has been a silly passion of mine since I was a teenager probably because I was into Robin Of Sherwood and the Games Workshop version of Runequest had colour pictures of shamen and all the adventures were in the wilderness. I was hooked and still am.
